Aguilera Family
I had such a great time with the Aguilera family at Torrey Pines State Beach! It was freezing that day, and we were graced with overcast skies, the colors from their session turned out beautifully. They were visiting from Florida, and I remember when they first reached out, sharing their inspiration and Pinterest board. You could tell there was so much thought and intention behind what they wanted from the photos. Their vision was all about soaking in the moments together as a family... lots of embraces, love, and connection. It really inspired me.
As a photographer, this session brought me so much joy because I knew I was capturing something they would cherish forever. These images are now memories for them to look back on from their California vacation, a moment in time when they were fully present with one another, enjoying their time at the beach as a family. I say this a lot about my sessions, but I really think this one will always be one of my favorite family shoots.
Their inspiration sparked something in me to experiment with new prompts and posing ideas, focusing on capturing the small, intimate moments that evoke real emotion. The photos we took towards the end of the session at the beach are some of my favorites, especially the ones with their matching beanies, the soft sunset light, and those quiet, peaceful moments by the water. It’s truly an honor to be able to photograph people who’ve traveled so far to make these memories.
